Transparency, a European right, and its relationship with other constitutionally relevant goods

This article analyses the right to transparency under European law and its connexion with the rights to privacy and data protection. It examines existing regulations and their role in promoting accountability, while highlighting the importance of balancing privacy protection and institutional transparency. In addition, it delves into the debate on transparency and access to information in European law, as well as the relevance of the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
