Este número extraordinario, dedicado al estudio de la transparencia bajo una perspectiva constitucional, se publica por iniciativa propia de la Revista y con motivo de la celebración en 2026 del XXIII Congreso de Constitucionalistas de España. La edición de este año de este evento científico se dedica precisamente a las materias que conforman el núcleo temático de nuestra publicación, en particular, a la transparencia y la rendición de cuentas en el Estado constitucional. Aprovechamos así esta oportunidad idónea para reunir y difundir nuevas aportaciones científicas que contribuyan a alimentar los debates que tendrán lugar durante esta cita anual de los constitucionalistas españoles.
El número extraordinario reúne once contribuciones elaboradas por catorce juristas y conforma un ejemplar de 372 páginas. Los artículos se estructuran en torno a tres grandes ámbitos. El primero aborda la transparencia, analizando su significado, sus implicaciones y su necesaria articulación con la protección de datos, los secretos oficiales y la inteligencia artificial. El segundo examina su proyección sobre los poderes del Estado, con especial atención al Parlamento y al Poder Judicial, e incluye también otras perspectivas centradas en la autonomía local. El tercero se ocupa de cuestiones más específicas relacionadas con el ejercicio de la libertad de información y el estudio de los datos abiertos.
No queremos dejar de aprovechar estas líneas para expresar nuestro reconocimiento a los evaluadores y a todas las personas que integran los distintos órganos de gestión y los equipos asesores de la Revista. Su compromiso y dedicación hace posible que este proyecto científico continúe creciendo y consolidándose. Su esfuerzo ha permitido que nuestra publicación haya sido reconocida con el sello FECYT a la calidad editorial y que cuente con una amplia presencia y un notable posicionamiento en bases de datos de prestigio nacional e internacional, entre las que sobresale su clasificación en Q1 del SJR de SCOPUS en la categoría Law.
Finalmente, queremos subrayar nuestro agradecimiento a la institución del Comisionado de Transparencia de la Región de Murcia por su colaboración en el patrocinio de este número extraordinario.
