Transparency of financial contributions to local political groups

local democracy, public transparency, financing political groupsAbstract
The probably necessary discretion (regarding legal limits) with which local political groups handle financial contributions from their local entities "for their own performance" has often been accompanied by shady under-the-table agreements, which have been a thorn in the side of democracy. In response to these issues, it’s of the highest, in our opinion, interest to ensure the disclosure of this information, directly linked to their accountability and reinforced by the representative nature of the beneficiaries of these subsidies, without any other ulterior motives at play.
